On Saturday, Jill Oakes, Pauline Taylor and Brian McGivern teamed up with ex-Hertfordshire player Darren Stanford in the Short Mat Players Tour World Masters Fours held at the Falcon Indoor Bowling Club, Chelmsford.  A total of 44 fours from various countries took part in the tournament.

Having finished third in their qualifying group the predominantly Hertfordshire team progressed to the Plate knockout phase of the competition where they were managed to reach the semi-final stage.

On Sunday, Alan Spicer teamed up Brian McGivern and Pauline Taylor played with Darren Stanford in the World Masters Pairs.  Against formidable opposition, neither pair was able to progress beyond the first round of the Plate.
