St Margaret's A and Cuffley B will contest the Barnet League Playoff Final next week after their semi final wins.  But neither of the finalists had an easy time of it.  Both semi finals went to the last end.

St Margaret's A took an early lead which looked to be decisive but Letchworth gnawed away at the differential and went into the last end just one shot behind.  Letchworth were holding 3 shots with each skip having one bowl to play.  Darren Stanford went for an all or nothing shot and drove the jack into the ditch.  Alan Hare still had the smallest of chances if he could hit a toucher a long way but just missed.

At one point of the other semi final Cuffley B were 3 shots behind Greenwood but managed to get back to a winning position, leading by 2 with one end left.  An early front toucher for Cuffley B proved too difficult to shift and they progressed to the final.

Letchworth and Greenwood will play in the 3rd place playoff match.
