The Cockburn Trophy is an annual contest between the Ladies and Gents of Cuffley Hall. The trophy is played in remembrance of Gillian Cockburn's husband Bill. The event is always keenly contested but is also great fun.
Historically, the Gents have the edge over the Ladies and this year was no exception. The men won on all three mats and the overall result was a 54-30 win for the masculine gender.
However, the Ladies certainly took the honours in the culinary department with a magnificent spread of cakes and sandwiches for the halftime break (note; the egg sandwiches were contributed by the Cuffley gents star chef).
