Report from the committee meeting last night.

 

I am very sorry to report that at the committee meeting last night Pauline, Darren and Rebecca tendered their resignation from the committee and Darren and Rebecca are no longer going to play bowls for Hertfordshire.

Their decision follows their misgivings about the AGM and the vote for treasurer and competition secretary.

We are all very sorry about their decision and thank them for the work they have done for the county over the years.

 

Because of this we are in the situation that we need to find a new registration secretary, a match secretary and a league organiser.

Margaret and Alan Hare are willing to run the league.

Margaret R is willing to do registration this year with the help of Roy and the ESMBA.

At present there is no one on the committee willing to take on the job of match secretary. If you would like to do this job or know of anyone who would take it on, please let us know.

We are asking all of you if you are happy with this way forward.

We also did not have a chairperson for the committee but Roy said he would take on that role.

 

The committee are meeting again in two weeks so if you would like to express your views please let us know this week.

In the meantime we are going to put out county availability sheets so we can get ahead with organising the ICC.
