The Charity Day at Elm Court was a huge success.  50 bowlers took part in the event which was organised to raise funds for IA which is the national support group for people with an ileostomy or internal pouch.

The competitive element of the day saw players draw for partners in teams of three.  The triples were subdivide into 2 groups each of 8 teams.  Each team played 5 games.

The first group (Numbers) was won by Michael West, Chris Millard and Brian Fowler with 10 points and a 22 shot difference.  Runners up in this group were Jean Patten, Carol Still/Toni Gearing and Brian McGivern with 7 points and a 21 shot difference.

The other group (Letters) was won by Irene Roberts, Mary Chadd and Brian Hatherly with 8 points and a 15 shot difference.  Group runners up were Barry P, Tony Gayler and Margaret Hare with 8 points and a 9 shot difference.

We raised nearly £250 for the charity, which was the best result of the day.
