Greenwood A have taken a commanding lead in their drive to retain their Barnet League championship with 24-8 win over Harpenden A. Greenwood A dominated throughout, leading 18-0 before Harpenden A got going. Harpenden A finished with a flourish, scoring 5 shots on the last end.
Northiam East went top of Division 2 with their 17-11 win. Shillington scored on 9 of the 15 ends but were restricted to singles and 2s. Two 4s and two 3s were decisive in Northiam East's favour.
Harpenden C registered their first win of the season in thriller against Northiam West. Harpenden C leapt out to a 6-0 lead but Northiam West bounced back and the scores were tied at 10-10 going into the last end.
Next week (Valentine's Night) Letchworth 1 will be hoping for a little love from St Margaret's 1 as they strive to make use of one of their games in hand to close the gap to Greenwood A. Harpenden A and Greenwood B face each other. In the Division 2 match, St Margaret's 2 will hope to go back to top slot when the take on Harpenden C.
