Martin Nash, Alan Spicer, Brian McGivern and Michael West were crowned County Fours Champions 2018-2019 at Elm Court.

Eight teams were competing for the title and six of these were also vying to represent Hertfordshire at the National Fours Finals.  Runners up on the day were Audrey and Brian Fowler with Jill and Robin Quarterman (Greenwood Park).

The 3rd/4th place final was won by Jeanette and Tony Gayler, partnered by Jeff Branch and Bill Durham.  4th placed team on the day was Cherry Nolan, Clive Mark, Ann Laws and Ted Nolan (all from Cuffley Hall)

Michael West's team are guaranteed a place at the National Finals in April.  The Greenwood Park four should also be representing Hertfordshire at the event.  Places are allocated by the ESMBA on the basis of number of entries in each county's qualifying competition.  Last year Hertfordshire were given 3 places at the Finals.

The top 4 teams in the qualifying competition are notified to the ESMBA for possible inclusion.  As Ted Nolan's four were not entered in the qualifying section of this competition, the next best placed team of Dennis Mack, Mick Thrush, Margaret and Alan Hare have been nominated.  Allocation of places will be confirmed by the ESMBA in February.
