Four matches were played in the Barnet League last night despite the adverse weather.
In Division 1, Letchworth Lions beat Greenwood Hawks. Making a good start, the Lions were leading by 11 shots to 3 after 9 ends, but the Hawks fought back to 12 - 9 with 2 ends left. These were shared leaving the Lions winners 13 -10.
Taking a 9 - 0 lead after 6 ends, Northiam East had a comfortable win in the other Div 1 match beating Harpenden Nightjars by 16 shots to 5.
The two Shillington teams Black and White played each other in Division 2. Black, helped by scoring a 6 on the second end overwhelmed White 25 - 8. This win lifted Black off the bottom of the league.
In the other Division 2 match, with a 5 on end 13, Division 2 leaders Cuffley Gin, ran out easy winners over St Margaret's 2, by 22 shots to 7.
