The West family was represented in all three finals at the Cuffley Hall Annual Finals night on Monday 17th June. Michael West , his broken hip long forgotten,  just got the better of Martin Nash in the Mens' Singles. The match, played over 9 ends, was decided by only a couple of well-placed bowls.

The pattern of the evening was broken by Jean Patten (excuse the pun!) who beat Adrianne West in another close game to win the Ladies' Championship.

Michael West  and Jean Patten were also involved the Mixed Pairs, the final event of the evening. Michael was paired with Dianne Webb, who as defending Champions, were allowed to to defend their status in an otherwise drawn competition, Starting as favourites, they beat Jean and  Alan Bolitho to retain their title for another year!

The competitive part of the evening being completed, Cuffley Hall members got into "party mode" with wine and nibbles! And, as you have probably guessed, the Nolans won first prize in the raffle  but graciously declined the whisky in favour of the chocolates!

The Finals' Night, slightly delayed this year, marks the end of another successful and very enjoyable season for the Cuffley Hall Short Mat Bowls Club.
