Where do you think we were bowling this week?
Twelve of us turned up at Hatfield for a roll up and played Aussie pairs on three mats. Do you recognize the floor? Well we all thought we were in a parallel universe, not only has the floor been re-laid but the clock was showing the correct time. Now, if your one of those bowlers that enjoyed the quirks of Hatfield’s old floor then we are sorry to disappoint you. There are no cracks in the floor! When you roll a bowl it runs true to the expected bias of your bowl. If you are playing in the Barnet League this year then it would be a good idea to come next Tuesday to experience the new phenomenon that is Hatfield, a mat on floor experience that is as good if not better than mat on mat at Stevenage.
