Hertfordshire's opening game in the Inter County Championship was a very close affair with Bucks taking the win by 4 points.  To show how close the two teams were to each other, the shots cored were 194 to Hertfordshire, 195 to Buckinghamshire.

Session 1 (singles and pairs)
The opening session of play was dominated by Buckinghamshire.  Michael West had a good win in the singles but those were the only points for the home side.

Session 2 (triples and fours)
Another session with a single win Hertfordshire.  Jill Oakes, Peter Griffiths and Liz Bradley won 15-9.  In the fours Adrianne West, Graham Yates, John Taylor and Alan Hare only missed out on their game points by a single shot.

Session 3 (singles and pairs)
The points for third session of play were shared.  Michael West won again and Pauline Taylor and Jeanette Gayler picked up their points.  Micheal and Tony Gayler scored well enough to take the bonus points for the singles dicscipline.

Session 4 (triples and fours)
In a thrilling last session of play both Hertfordshire fours and one of the triples won their games on the last end.  The triples took the bonus points for their discipline by a single shot.
