The Mixed Fours County Championship was won by Jill Oakes, Pauline Taylor, Brian McGivern and Darren Stanford.

Nine teams contested the competition.  They were divided initially in to two qualifying groups; one of four teams and the other with five.  The top two from each group proceeded to the semi final stage.

Runners up were Diana Davies, Tony Smith, Gordon Burrow and Liz Bradley.  The Cuffley Hall four of Cherry Nolan, Adrianne West, Ted Nolan and Michael West won the 3rd place final, beating Sue Murray, Brian Hatherly, Eileen Prior and Steve Hipperson.

The County Champions are guaranteed a place in the Mixed Fours National Championships in April.  Additional places are allocated to counties based on the number of entries in their qualifying event.  Last year, Hertfordshire had two teams at the Nationals with fewer teams competing in our qualifying event.  In some earlier years the county has had three representatives in this competition.
