Hertfordshire bowler Alan Spicer was in action at the Short Mat Players Tour World Masters in Belfast at the weekend.  In the 2 wood singles event on Friday Alan topped his qualifying group of three and progressed to the main Cup knockout competition.

In the main ranking event, the 4 wood Masters tournament, Alan won two games to finish third in a group of five players and progressed to the Plate knockout event.  The ranking points accumulated by Alan over the weekend have propelled him 115 places up the SMPT world rankings to 371st position.
