Darren Stanford was the best of the Hertfordshire bunch at the National Singles.  He finished second in his qualifying group and only missed out on top spot on shots scored after the shots difference was tied.  His run came to an end in the first knockout round.

Jeanette Gayler, seriously under the weather with the flu, was unable to notch a win in the qualifying group matches. Brian McGivern did manage a win in his final group game after receiving a short mat bowling lesson in the second game.  Brian finished third in the group.
