Letchworth Quakers won the Beds & Herts League by default last night when Shillington Scarecrows lost their final match against Wilstead Cavaliers. Quakers, who still have one game to play, now have an unassailable lead and cannot be caught. Their club mates Letchworth Black Squirrels also have one game to play, and, if they win, will overtake the Scarecrows to take second place.
