The County Singles Championship and National Qualifier was held on Saturday 28th September at Jimmy Mack's in Hatfield. Well over 30 players entered the "round-robin" phase of the competition which then went into the "knock-out"rounds.

In the semi-finals Bill Gearing had a last-bowl win over Jeannette Gayler and Dennis Mack beat Ken Murray. In the final Bill  beat Dennis  by 9 shots to 6.

In the third place play-off Jeannette beat Ken by 13 shot to 6.

All four semi-finalists qualify for the National Singles next spring. Congratulations all round!
