The
Hertfordshire County Fours Championship and National Qualifier was held at
"Jimmy Mac's" in Hatfield on Saturday 25th January 2020. Eight
teams took part in the competition and played a "round robin" in 2
groups of which the 1st and 2nd teams went through to the
"knock-out" rounds.
The
winners were Jeff Branch, Jan Rodgers of Northiam playing with Jeanette Gayler
and Tony Gayler of St Margaret’s. They beat Alexis Mack, Dennis Mack, Margaret
Hare and Alan Hare of Letchworth 8 – 3. Martin Nash, Alan Spicer, Michael West
and Brian McGivern were third and Cherry Nolan, Ted Nolan, Trevor Tharby and
Ken Murray were fourth..

The
first three placed teams go through to the national qualifiers being played at
Melton Mowbray on the 04th of April.
